Private French Tutor in City of London and Online

I was born near Paris, and I used to live in Normandy for 20 years. In 2014, I took one of the best decisions of my life: moving to London!

I studied English at Université du Havre for 2 years before moving online with Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3, where I studied some courses in French as a Foreign Language, in order to teach French to non-native speakers. After those interesting years, I decided to go back to full-time English studies (still online) and I graduated in 2019.

I have been working as a Foreign Language Assistant in French in outstanding London Secondary schools for nine years. I also have a very positive experience as a private tutor in French since 2017, with the opportunity to support different types of levels, from Primary students to adult learners. I proudly achieved a 99% pass mark for GCSE (9-5) and A-level students (A*-C).

As a language enthusiast, I take a great pleasure in teaching my culture and language to English speakers. I try to be inclusive as much as possible by mixing my personality and knowledge to my students’ needs and curriculum.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the easiest way to learn French in City of London?

If you are a cinema lover, you could go to Cine Lumiere, Kensington, where you can watch old and recent French-speaking movies. If you are more indoorsy, don’t hesitate to watch series in French with French subtitles, so many platforms are available online nowadays! Finally, spoken practice is daunting but so fulfilling. Why not try French shops and speak to the shop assistant in French? The first words will be difficult, but don’t give up! You will be so proud of yourself for trying and staff will strongly appreciate your effort!

Is French easy to learn?

Short answer: No 😅 but the harder the challenge, the better! Always stick to basic sounds and structures when you start. Also, French is derived from Latin, and linguists say that about 60% of English words come from Latin. So we have a lot in common! Throughout your learning experience, you will be able to manage many related words, hence, you will be able to say more than you think!
