And that's why I do it. I have taught in an Ulpan for 2 years now and have taught before all kinds of groups. I think that the most important about learning a language is enjoying the process and the progress will happen :) I can teach complete beginners and then the focus is on reading, writing, and basic conversation (coffee shop/market/shopping/dating, etc).
